Oxygen is beer’s worst enemy post fermentation. It turns all those precious flavors you worked so hard to get in your beer to stale cardboard! If your serious about making good beer you should buy a couple corny kegs, a kegerator and a co2 tank with a regulator. This way you can clean, sanitize and purge all of the oxygen out of the keg before you rack your 5 gals in! You’re going to pickup way less oxygen in a bulk container than bottling two cases of bottles. If you can’t afford kegs, don’t have space or prefer to bottle, you can buy the Blichmann beer gun that allows for a co2 purge before you fill the bottles with beer!
