GRID CITY ANNOUNCES PLANS TO OPEN IN THE MIDDLE OF CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, MAY 3, 2020  — Not just another Salt Lake microbrewery and definitely not your average timing. With the coronavirus in full swing with many restaurants having been closed for several weeks now, the founders of Grid City Beer Works decided to continue their dream and opened for business on May 3, 2020.

Having to reinvent their business model, Drew, Justin, and Jeremy pushed forward and developed a plan to get their beer in the public’s waiting hands. Originally the brewery was not going to can its beer and had plans to focus heavily on an in-brewery experience with its three unique pours (cask, nitro, and CO2), as well as their unmatched Pilsner experience. However, with the coronavirus pandemic hitting so hard and unexpectedly, they decided to open the doors for the first time to offer take-out orders for both beer and food.

The brewery is conveniently located right off of I-15 at 333 West 2100 South. With ample parking and just a short Uber or Trax ride from anywhere in the valley, Grid City Beer Works is sure to become Salt Lake’s go-to hangout location for locals, visitors, and even their dogs when dine-in options are available.

Upon entering the brewery, you will be amazed by its open-air feel, creative murals, and the mix of industrial design with a local feel. The main bar sits in the middle of the brewery with an array of fermentation tanks that would make the engineers at NASA jealous, putting guests within arm’s reach of the brewing process. The taps offer a wide selection of the beers that many locals have come to love:

HONEY CREAM ALE – A British American style hybrid cream ale. Belgian and British malts, floral hop aroma, dry crisp and refreshing. Intense Orange blossom honey aromatics.

BROWN ALE – A traditional British style Brown Ale. All British ingredients. Rich and malty. Low hop bitterness. Chocolaty, but light on the pallet.

PALE ALE – A British American style hybrid pale ale, all British malts. Juicy malty body. Intense tropical, piney, aromatic hop character. Clean refreshing finish.

PILSNER – An authentic Czech pilsner, under modified Bavarian floor-malted Pilsner malt, double decocted, soft water, Saaz and Tettnang hops!

HOPPY PILSNER – A single decoction, rich and malty, crisp refreshing, dry style. With an intense hoppy lemony finish.

With food to hold its ground amongst the beer, Grid City Beer Works is taking call-in and walk-up orders for food and beer Wednesday through Sunday from 12-7 PM. Patrons can check out the menu and learn more about the brewery by visiting gridcitybeerworks.com/.

About Grid City Beer Works

We love beer and it’s our passion to enjoy and consume it. For 25 years and counting, we have been passionately traveling this country to find the best beers.  Believe us we have drank a lot of them. One day the universe (josh) decided to introduce us to the guy (Jeremy) who had the talent and passion to brew exactly what we were looking for: Approachable beers that you can drink all day.  No matter what ABV you want to drink your beer at, or what style of beer it is you call your favorite, we know your beer drinking experience is a personal preference and should always be extraordinary. When making beer we brew with three core beliefs; Taste, Balance and Finish.  The goal… to leave you to find yourself anxiously awaiting another sip. Our passion has brought us to our current and will forge us towards our future experiences, which we are proud to call Grid City Beer Works. We hope you enjoy our creations as much as we do. Cheers!
